De regio Kibondo
THE BACKGROUND OF KIBONDO DISTRICT IN TANZANIA
Kibondo district is in Kigoma region, in western part of Tanzania, bordering Burundi. Kibondo district is more far away from central part of Tanzania (Dodoma). However, is the last district bordering Burundi.
Population of Kibondo is not all that with high population due to the fact that people are few, about a total population of ninety-five thousand (95000) people. Because most of people are the natives of Kibondo.
Economic activities, most of the people who are living in Kibondo are farmers with a percentage of 70% depending on farming. The trading is carried out in small scales and trade is within the place (Kibondo). Also there are civil servants and non- civil servants with the rest of 30% amongst the least of economic activities.
Even if there are some economic activities, most of the people are living in low standards of living, due to the reason low number of people went to school and therefore their earnings are low.
However, Kibondo is among the poorest district in Tanzania.
